As if singing at an Elvis Tribute show on January 7th wasn’t enough… I was also invited to sing at the Elvis Invitationals the next evening… AND to be a judge of all the ‘Elvi’! And of course I said YES! Life is so funny sometimes.

The Elvis Invitationals is actually a big, annual event. This is its 14th year in Seattle, and over 500 people were in attendance last year, and the crowd just continues to grow… as do the Elvis wannabees, from all over the Northwest. There will be lots of great Elvis music (Kentucky Rain is the fantastic back-up band), lots of talented singers, lots of wonderful (and brave!) amateur Elvi, and lots of… uh… bizarre foods (like donuts with bacon – yuck! but I know some people LOVE those!).
