Barbara has been writing and directing films since the age of eight, eventually earning a degree from New York University. Her films range from a lyrical documentary on early punk rock, to Fellini-esque shorts, exotic Sky Cries Mary music videos, and a dreamy documentary on the Cirque du Soleil.

Her award-winning film, “Secrets,” is a kaleidoscopic journey into the subconscious, and includes a host of unusual characters including a web-handed belly dancer, raw meat-eating punks, and a red pepper-obsessed dwarf, played by a very young Michael Anderson (Twin Peaks, Carnivale).
